Welcoming a very special community to The Laurels

Our local L'Arche community

L'Arche London is part of a worldwide organisation which believes that people with learning disabilities have much to teach us and contribute to the world. L'Arche communities create a culture of shared lives between people with and without learning disabilities.

We were delighted therefore to welcome two members of the community to school this morning to learn more about their work, particularly as they are situated very close to the school.

The girls in Year 9 chose L'Arche as their class charity this year and so it was also very good to be able to give a donation following the recent non-uniform day organised by our pupils.
