International StudentsScholarships may be awarded to students who show creative promise and demonstrate a strong talent for performance coupled with an interest in learning about the craft of theatre-making. A strong academic profile is necessary along with commitment to school drama related activities and events. Students are expected to choose Drama as an exam subject.
Scholarships may be awarded to girls who show significant ability in Netball, Football and Athletics. We expect potential candidates to be selected in national, county or representative teams. Selection to sporting academies is also seen as an equivalent although trials are not seen as such. A strong academic profile is necessary along with sporting commitment to the school. Sports scholars must display the school’s aims and ethos. Fee remission varies according to a candidate’s all-round suitability for the school, as well as sporting prowess.
Should you wish to apply for a bursary once your online application and admissions fee are complete, please contact the admissions team: admissions@thelaurelsschool.org.uk

Choral Scholarships offer a discount off school fees, and we also offer an Exhibitioner Award which entitles the award holder to free vocal lessons on their main instrument. For students entering at 11+, we would expect a minimum standard of grade 3. At 13+ Grade 5 is expected. This is a guide only; the aptitude and musical experience of individual candidates are fully considered. Although high marks in Associated Board examinations are often good indications of musicianship, we shall also be looking for a thorough grounding in technique and for musical potential. If Associated Board examinations have been taken, we look as favourably on high marks as the attainment of high grades.
