Coronations and Crownings

Our celebrations

We marked the Coronation of King Charles III with an assembly led by pupils, which explored the history of British coronations and the significance of the occasion. The afternoon was an opportunity for fun, as girls worked in mixed age groups to create a special cake and poetry for this historic event. The winning cake, judged by our caterers, was a coronation cloak, almost as resplendent as the costumes on show at Westminster Abbey the following day!

May is the month when we mark the Coronation of Our Lady, and so a few days later we gathered in the garden outside The Laurels to say prayers, sing hymns and lay flowers in her honour.
