An insight into world politics from a top diplomat

The Assistant Secretary General - The Commonwealth visits school

We were privileged to welcome Professor Luis Franceschi to school this week for a special joint assembly with The Cedars School. He gave pupils in Year 11 and Year 12 an amazing insight into world politics, the significance of The Commonwealth and his role in representing the 56 countries which it constitutes.

Afterwards, several pupils from both schools enjoyed a breakfast meeting with Professor Franceschi, during which they asked him about many aspects of his career and experiences.

Everyone was enthused by his wisdom and insight, and greatly appreciated his generosity in answering so many of their questions. They were thrilled to have the chance to speak with someone at the very heart of world politics. Thank you to Professor Franceschi for coming to visit us!
